Hey guys! Today’s card share is a card that I made with the most recent Lawnscaping Challenge in mind, Distress!
Who isn’t in love with Distress Inks? …. Really… Name one person..lol. Well I am a total Distress ink nut.. And will find any way possible to use them on a card:) For this card, I didn’t have to find a reason because it was the challenge. Yay!
Anyway, I decided to play with this Ink “Smooshing” technique that Laura Bassen has somehow perfected. I put down a couple of distress inks straight from the pad onto my nonstick craft mat and spritzed a few sprays of water. Then, I “smooshed” my watercolor cardstock panel down onto the ink in different random directions until I was happy with the look.
I then used the new Scripty Happy Birthday die to die cut along the bottom of the panel. I put blue foil paper from the DCWV Foil stack behind the negative of the image and aligned it to recreate the original shape.
A few more splatters and a couple of Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear sequins finished off the card. Thanks for stopping by and Happy crafting!
