Hello crafty peeps! Just popping by with a quick card I made for my In-Law’s anniversary this week. Happy Anniversary Diane and Bryan! :)
This card features the Simon Says Stamp May 2105 Card kit. I hoped to be able to use more of the kit, but just ended up using the gorgeous patterned papers included, by Fancy Pants. SO PRETTY!
This month’s kit comes with an exclusive SSS Pale Blush full sized ink pad. I have to say, they have really stepped up their game and I absolutely love these kits. The full pack of sticker sheets are also from Fancy Pants and have tons of gold foiling.
For this card, I picked out a couple of papers to work with which helped me choose my color palette (pale pink, white, black and gold accents). I cut out a vellum doily using a Papertrey ink die for a layered look. The Happy word die is a Heidi Swapp die that I just can’t stop using! You can’t tell in the photos, but I added Wink of Stella to it for some extra shimmer.
This was a fun and simple card to make. I think what made it so easy was how well all of the products in the kit coordinated. That’s it for today, thanks for stopping by! HAPPY CRAFTING.

Hi guys! Today I’m here to share a card that I have made with the amazing April 2015 card kit from Simon Says Stamp. I’m so in love with this kit! It’s amazing.. Beautiful gold rub-ons, Washi, paper and more!
I have a monthly subscription for $24.95 +shipping. If you don’t want to subscribe they have it available for purchase on its own for $29.95+shipping on Simon Says Stamp’s website. Believe me though… The subscription is TOTALLY worth it! Here is my card.
I’m in love with the Washi tape included in the kit from Pink Fresh Studio. It’s available to buy in different colors but the kit came with this beautiful ombré from mint to peach with gold stripes…. STUNNING! I applied 3 or 4 strips of the Washi to some white cardstock making sure to line up the gold stripes. Then I ran the piece through my die cut machine with a Happy Die from Papertrey Ink.
I really love how it turned out. I’m going to use this technique a lot more to get more use out of the Washi I have been hoarding:) I added some enamel dots and a gold star brad included in the kit.
I had a lot of fun creating with these products…. I’m gonna make some more cards with this kit. Hopefully I have luck with the rub-ons. I tried some Heidi Swapp rub-ons recently and it didn’t go so well.
Thanks for stopping by my blog today! Have a great day and HAPPY CRAFTING!:)
Hello crafty friends…. Just wanted to share another card that I have made using the amazing February 2015 card kit from Simon Says Stamp. I’m having so much fun with this kit!
Today’s card features a sentiment from the included stamp set called Paper Hugs. Love this set. I used a Papertrey Ink heart die from my stash to diecut a heart from the patterned paper. The paper is from a beautiful collection by Crate Paper called Kiss Kiss with a very romantic vintage feel. I then stamped the sentiment in Versamark ink and heat embossed it with Ranger Gold embossing powder. I am really enjoying mixing in gold elements with this kit.
I chose a few embellishments from coordinating products in my stash and die cut a couple of small hearts from vintage text paper to add some layering and texture. FYI: the Kiss Kiss Ephemera pack is unbelievable! Tons and tons of gold foil vellum pieces, small heart jewels, tags and more….they hit the nail on the head with this pack.
My patterned paper front panel was die cut using the largest size in the Lawn Fawn Small Stitched Rectangle die set.
I’m not gonna lie, I struggled for a bit with this card. Only because I really wanted to add sequins or some extra little embellishments, but in the end I decided less is more. I would love to hear your thoughts on this. Is there such thing as too much blank space on a card? Comments welcome!
Thanks so much for stopping by…. Hope everyone enjoyed today’s card share and Happy Crafting!
Hello everyone! I am back with a Valentine’s Day card using the new February 2015 Simon Says Stamp Card Kit.
I LOVE this kit! It’s one of the best!
I got lucky and had already purchased a few of the coordinating items in the KISS KISS collection by Crate Paper before the kit was even revealed. So when it was revealed, I was so happy to be able to use added products from my stash!
The stamp set by SSS that comes in the kit is amazing! The different heart elements are all so versatile.
For my card, I decided to use the Gold Metallic Gelato included in the kit as well as a shaker element that I made using my Papertrey Ink Shakers and Sprinkles kit. Almost a year later, I’m still using supplies from this kit! What a bargain!
I added confetti hearts, pink sequins and chunky gold glitter to the inside of the shaker. I really wanted the brushstroke look using the gelato. I just scribbled the gelato on the Tim Holtz Watercolor paper and spritzed with water using a mini mister. Then I had fun “painting” the background with a medium paintbrush I had on hand. I wanted a bit more of a bright gold touch rather than the muted antique look, so to help get the look I wanted, I flicked some Heidi Swapp gold spray mist. I am very pleased with the results.
For the finishing touch I couldn’t decide between GOLD sequins or GOLD enamel dots! Lol. A girl can never have too much gold! That’s what Laura Bassen says… I ended up laying down a few glittery gold enamel dots from Studio Calico.
I’m also entering this card into the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge. All you have to do is make something that you can associate with the letter “H” to inspire your work! What fun!
And that’s all for today! Thanks for stopping by and HAPPY CRAFTING! :)
Hi everyone! Hope you all are having a wonderful Thanksgiving. I wanted to kick off the official Christmas season with a holiday card using November 2014 Simon Says Stamp card kit.
I just love these kits I get each month! They help keep my crafty spending at bay. Well, that’s what I tell myself anyway. So here is my card I made using the new Lawn Fawn Snow Day paper pack, along with a 1″ craft punch. I lined up the circles into a diagonal pattern and adhered them down. I then cut a banner out of red pure poppy cardstock from Papertrey Ink and stamped the sentiment from the Simon Says Stamp Be Joyful stamp set with Versamark ink. I heat embossed it with white embossing powder and tied some peppermint twine on the end. Before adhering it down, I added random sequin and enamel embellishments to the circles for added interest.
Thanks for for stopping by! Stay tuned for a special announcement regarding an upcoming PaperCrafts and Scrapbooking blog hop:) Happy Crafting!
