Hello crafty peeps! Just popping by with a quick card I made for my In-Law’s anniversary this week. Happy Anniversary Diane and Bryan! :)
This card features the Simon Says Stamp May 2105 Card kit. I hoped to be able to use more of the kit, but just ended up using the gorgeous patterned papers included, by Fancy Pants. SO PRETTY!
This month’s kit comes with an exclusive SSS Pale Blush full sized ink pad. I have to say, they have really stepped up their game and I absolutely love these kits. The full pack of sticker sheets are also from Fancy Pants and have tons of gold foiling.
For this card, I picked out a couple of papers to work with which helped me choose my color palette (pale pink, white, black and gold accents). I cut out a vellum doily using a Papertrey ink die for a layered look. The Happy word die is a Heidi Swapp die that I just can’t stop using! You can’t tell in the photos, but I added Wink of Stella to it for some extra shimmer.
This was a fun and simple card to make. I think what made it so easy was how well all of the products in the kit coordinated. That’s it for today, thanks for stopping by! HAPPY CRAFTING.

Hi guys! Today I’m here to share a card that I have made with the amazing April 2015 card kit from Simon Says Stamp. I’m so in love with this kit! It’s amazing.. Beautiful gold rub-ons, Washi, paper and more!
I have a monthly subscription for $24.95 +shipping. If you don’t want to subscribe they have it available for purchase on its own for $29.95+shipping on Simon Says Stamp’s website. Believe me though… The subscription is TOTALLY worth it! Here is my card.
I’m in love with the Washi tape included in the kit from Pink Fresh Studio. It’s available to buy in different colors but the kit came with this beautiful ombré from mint to peach with gold stripes…. STUNNING! I applied 3 or 4 strips of the Washi to some white cardstock making sure to line up the gold stripes. Then I ran the piece through my die cut machine with a Happy Die from Papertrey Ink.
I really love how it turned out. I’m going to use this technique a lot more to get more use out of the Washi I have been hoarding:) I added some enamel dots and a gold star brad included in the kit.
I had a lot of fun creating with these products…. I’m gonna make some more cards with this kit. Hopefully I have luck with the rub-ons. I tried some Heidi Swapp rub-ons recently and it didn’t go so well.
Thanks for stopping by my blog today! Have a great day and HAPPY CRAFTING!:)
Hello crafty peeps! Happy Monday!
Today, I am sharing a craft haul video I made late last week. Joann’s had a FANTASTIC 50% off sale on ALL Scrapbooking and papercrafts 3/1-3/8. So I made a couple of trips:) Enjoy!
Also, am entering the current Lawnscaping Challenge “Dots and Stripes”. I love designer challenges, I don’t know why I don’t enter more often… So fun!
Here are the last two cards I made out of a set of four for Easter.
I am really happy how they all turned out. I’m really loving the seed beads I have recently acquired. If you love shaker cards..like most of us… You have to try adding seed beads to your shaker element! It amplifies the fun of the whole shaking part:)
I used Lawn Fawn’s Lets Polka patterned paper and dry embossed the base of the card with various embossing folders. One of my favorite embossing plates of all time is called Linen by Papertrey Ink, which is subtle but gives just enough texture for added interest.
Thanks for joining me today, I also have craft haul videos on my YouTube channel if you wanna check out more.
Hope everyone has a wonderful week and HAPPY CRAFTING! :)
Hey guys! I’m back today with another spring card using the new Lawn Fawn set called Eggstra Special Easter. I made another shaker card, but this time using the Easter basket image from the set. I thought it looked kinda plain by itself, so I added a little bunny from Lawn Fawn’s Snow Day stamp set holding the side of the basket. How cute is he?
The shaker element was made with Papertrey Ink’s tag sale #8 die. It wasn’t made to be a shaker die, but I thought, why not? And it turned out great! I encourage you to look at your dies differently and use them in more than one way. It keeps card making interesting and fun.. Don’t ya think?
Well, here’s the finished card. I’m off to make more!:) Thanks for stopping by and always HAPPY CRAFTING!
Hi all… Today I will be sharing a card I learned how to make from Laura Bassen. She is a wonderfully talented and funny crafter who is on the Papertrey Ink design team, as well as several others. I enrolled in an AWESOME online class that Laura is instructing on a site called CRAFTSY. It has hundreds of classes you can take for all kinds of crafty things from papercrafts to quilting. I’m really impressed by this site and all that it has to offer. The class is called Vibrant Stamping: Creative Color Techniques.
And it was totally worth it! Here is my card.
The class is so interesting and technique driven.. Which I love. Also she teaches a little color theory. SO FUN!
I created a clean and simple card front with a Papertrey Ink stamp set trying to keep the colors in rainbow order. R.O.Y.G.B.I.V. I had a lot of fun making this card and hope you guys check out the Craftsy site! Thanks for stopping by and HAPPY CRAFTING!
Hello everyone! I am back with a Valentine’s Day card using the new February 2015 Simon Says Stamp Card Kit.
I LOVE this kit! It’s one of the best!
I got lucky and had already purchased a few of the coordinating items in the KISS KISS collection by Crate Paper before the kit was even revealed. So when it was revealed, I was so happy to be able to use added products from my stash!
The stamp set by SSS that comes in the kit is amazing! The different heart elements are all so versatile.
For my card, I decided to use the Gold Metallic Gelato included in the kit as well as a shaker element that I made using my Papertrey Ink Shakers and Sprinkles kit. Almost a year later, I’m still using supplies from this kit! What a bargain!
I added confetti hearts, pink sequins and chunky gold glitter to the inside of the shaker. I really wanted the brushstroke look using the gelato. I just scribbled the gelato on the Tim Holtz Watercolor paper and spritzed with water using a mini mister. Then I had fun “painting” the background with a medium paintbrush I had on hand. I wanted a bit more of a bright gold touch rather than the muted antique look, so to help get the look I wanted, I flicked some Heidi Swapp gold spray mist. I am very pleased with the results.
For the finishing touch I couldn’t decide between GOLD sequins or GOLD enamel dots! Lol. A girl can never have too much gold! That’s what Laura Bassen says… I ended up laying down a few glittery gold enamel dots from Studio Calico.
I’m also entering this card into the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge. All you have to do is make something that you can associate with the letter “H” to inspire your work! What fun!
And that’s all for today! Thanks for stopping by and HAPPY CRAFTING! :)
Hi everyone! Long time no see… I am currently in the middle of a craft room makeover/organizational intervention! When I’m finished I will post a video of my craftroom:)
Today I have a haul video from Lawnfawn.com and Papertreyink.com…….My favorite 2 companies! Stick around until the end of the video for a card share.
Thanks so much for stopping by! Happy crafting!
